Houston real estate in River Oaks is the most expensive, and some of the largest and most stately homes in Houston can be found here.
An excellent location near downtown Houston, the Medical Center and the Galleria district add to the allure of River Oaks, as does the superb real estate that can be found tucked into every tree-lined street. Average commute times from River Oaks to downtown is about seven minutes, and commute times to the Medical Center are also under 10 minutes. Houston real estate in River Oaks typically exceeds $5 million and most of it doesn’t stay on the market for too long.
Downtown Houston real estate in the downtown district has exploded over the last 10 years. The downtown district has been completely overhauled and, as a result, has become home to more than 4,000 residents. Many Dallas residents flock to the downtown area to partake in the best nightlife, while others head here because of the outstanding selection of dining and shopping destinations, as well as the world-renowned theater district. The Galleria
The Galleria district enjoys a great, central location in the middle of town, and is located just west of the 610 Loop. Built around one of the largest malls in the United States, the Galleria section of Houston enjoys fine living and exciting entertainment destinations. Although much of the Galleria has been devoted to commercial development, there is also a plethora of residential development found here, as well. From condos and townhouses to stunning high-rises, Houston real estate in the Galleria is upscale and often luxurious.
Memorial
Memorial has often been defined as one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in Houston and the Houston real estate found here highlights this fact. Memorial, which is divided into five villages, including Bunker Hill Village, Hedwig Village, Spring Valley, Piney Point Village and Hunters Creek Village, is located just about 20 miles from downtown Houston. Houston real estate in Memorial generally includes newer homes on large lots. As a result, real estate here typically ranges from $500,000 to well over $1 million. Most of the Houston real estate found here is in the form of single-family homes, although there are some condos and town homes located here, as well.
Midtown
Residents of Midtown enjoy a fabulous location between downtown Houston and the Medical Center. As a result, Houston real estate in Midtown is highly desired and sought-after. Midtown also enjoys a short distance from the Museum District, Minute Maid Park, the Toyota Center and Midtown. There are over 6,000 residents in Midtown.
