Santa Ines valley is especially a lovely place to enjoy these blossoms in its exquisite glory. While in April, the countryside of Ibiza will be vibrant with red poppies. Other sight-seeing places include the 1000 years old Can Marca Caves. These caves have guided tours in which one can observe the stalagmites and stalactites forming in interesting formations. The tour also includes dramatic music, lightshows and a 30 feet waterfall. It is a fun place to visit with kids.
Another famous place to visit while spending holidays in Ibiza is Las Salinas Salt Flats. This 2000 year old salt field is located at the southern tip of the island. In summer when the water evaporates from the lakes there, a glittering layer of salt is left behind. This is a sight to behold.
Next we have the Ibiza Old Town, Dalt Vila where one feels as if they have walked back in time. The town has cobbled streets from ancient times and Gothic Catalan buildings scattered around in good condition throughout the street. The place has many old statues made in roman stone and the main entrance has a drawbridge! It also has old cathedrals from the olden days still standing tall and strong.
Ibiza is also well-known for its active nightlife during the summer vacation. Famous DJs from all across the world come to Ibiza to celebrate music. In addition, if one is a shopping freak, one can visit the Hippy Markets. The markets have a variety of things ranging from delicate East Asian jewelry to dyed colorful batik wraps to leather moccasins.
